1. What is the Carte Bleue app?

The Carte Bleue app is an application for the iPhone (iPad) that has been developed exclusively for Carte Bleue holders, via which you can very simply and conveniently purchase or reserve tickets for specific seats with a Carte Bleue.

The mobile tickets are stored directly in the app and can be accessed directly on an iPhone and shown at the door. Moreover, in the app you can manage the Carte Bleue (top up, renew the annual fee) and also find out about the latest films and view trailers.

The Carte Bleue itself can also be accessed electronically in the app. This means that you can access it directly from your mobile phone at a kitag cinema box office or kiosk and pay with it.
Have you reserved tickets but not paid for them yet? No problem. 30 minutes before the film starts, you will receive a push notification reminding you to turn your reservation into a purchase or cancel it. Of course, you can do it manually in advance as well.

You can also purchase up to 10 discounted tickets per showing via the Carte Bleue app for only CHF 13.-*. Are you out and about and do you fancy going to the cinema? With the Carte Bleue app, you can see the shortest route to the nearest kitag cinema based on your current location.

The Carte Bleue app can only be used in full if a kitag account has been opened with a Carte Bleue at www.kitag.com and the annual fee is valid.

2. What do I need to be able to book cinema tickets with the Carte Bleue app?

To be able to use the Carte Bleue app, an iPhone 3 or newer is needed. Moreover, you need a kitag account opened at www.kitag.com with a Carte Bleue and the annual Carte Bleue fee must also be valid. The login details of your kitag account are also valid for logging into the app.

3. Can I also use the Carte Bleue app with a credit card or PostFinance card?

The Carte Bleue app can only be used in full with a Carte Bleue. This means that tickets via the Carte Bleue app can only be reserved or purchased with a Carte Bleue.
The Carte Bleue can however be topped up in the Carte Bleue app with a credit card or PostFinance card. Likewise, the annual fee can be renewed in the Carte Bleue app and paid with a credit card or PostFinance card.

4. How do I purchase or reserve tickets?

Make sure you have activated a mobile data network and log in under “Profile > Log in” with your user name and password.

Under “Profile > Change standard city” you can select or change your city. Once you have done that, you can sort our programme by films or cinemas. Select the required film, then the language version, the date and the screening time.

Once you have selected the number of seats (1-10), you will now find yourself in the seating plan, where you can choose your seats with a selection field.

Click on “PURCHASE” or “RESERVE” and select your Carte Bleue. If you have too little credit on the Carte Bleue, you can increase it in this step with a credit card or PostFinance card (min. CHF 30/max. CHF 300). Done! Your cinema tickets can be accessed as mobile tickets under “Tickets” or “Reservations”, even without a mobile data network. Simply show the usher at the door your iPhone or your app cinema tickets.

5. How do I reserve cinema tickets?

The procedure for reserving a ticket is exactly the same as for purchasing a ticket, simply via the RESERVE button.

As an additional service, we offer you a reminder that appears 30 minutes before a film starts via a push message. Tickets reserved with a Carte Bleue are available until 20 minutes before the start of a showing. 30 minutes before a film starts, you are reminded about your reservation by a push message and can also convert the reserved tickets into a purchase directly via the app. This service can be activated/deactivated under “Profile > Notifications”. 

6. How do I add a new Carte Bleue to the app?

You can add your Carte Bleue with the relevant PIN under “Profile > Manage Carte Bleue”. It is stored in your kitag account. The 12-digit PIN can be found in the Carte Bleue packaging.

7. How do I add my credit card or PostFinance card?

You can add a credit card under “Profile > Manage credit card”. Select the card type, enter the details and confirm it with the “Create card” button. The added credit card is also at your disposal in your kitag account at www.kitag.com.            

You can also add the credit card to your kitag account during a transaction (top up Carte Bleue, renew annual fee). You can only add the PostFinance card to your kitag account during a transaction.

8. How do I top up my Carte Bleue via the app?

Under “Profile > Manage Carte Bleue” simply click on your Carte Bleue and select the “Top up credit” button. Enter the required amount that you would like to top up your Carte Bleue with (min. CHF 30/max. CHF 300) and click on “Please select card”. Should the credit card/PostFinance card not have been added to the profile yet, you now have the opportunity to do this, but otherwise simply select your credit card/PostFinance card.

9. How can I renew the annual fee for my Carte Bleue via the Carte Bleue app?

Under “Profile > Manage Carte Bleue” simply click on your Carte Bleue and then on the A button. The A button is activated here as soon as the annual fee has run out. The annual fee of CHF 20 can only be paid here with Carte Bleue credit.

If there is insufficient credit, the Carte Bleue can be topped up at this point with a credit card/PostFinance card. Should you not have added your credit card/PostFinance card to the profile yet, it can be added now during the top-up process, but otherwise simply select your credit card/PostFinance Card.

10. Where can I change my city?

If you would like the cinema programme for another city, you can select from Zurich, Winterthur, Bern, Basel, St. Gallen and Lucerne under “Profile > Change standard city”. This setting is retained between sessions.  

11. How secure is the network transmission? How are my payments transmitted?

All personal information, such as the Carte Bleue number, credit card number, etc., are allocated to your account as before. These data can be viewed on your iPhone. For this reason we recommend that you log out after each purchase or reservation in order to avoid any misuse by third parties should your phone be lost. KITAG CINEMAS makes great efforts to protect user and customer data.

12. What costs are incurred when using the Carte Bleue app?

The Carte Bleue app is free of charge. Costs arise from data transfer depending on your mobile phone tariff and your contractual subscription. Further costs are incurred through purchase of cinema tickets.
